Can TENS Replace Physiotherapy? Real Experiences
For those who have tried both physiotherapy and TENS therapy, can a home device realistically replace professional sessions? Or does it work better as a supplement? I’d appreciate honest feedback from people managing long-term injuries.

In my experience, a home TENS device can be a great supplement to physiotherapy but doesn’t fully replace it. Physiotherapy provides manual techniques, personalized assessment, and guided exercises that a machine can’t replicate. What I found helpful was using my unit from tensmachines.co.nz on days between physio appointments — it eased pain and muscle tightness, making the next session more productive. Over time, this combination reduced my pain levels and improved mobility more than using TENS alone. So for long-term injuries, I see TENS as supportive, not a substitute.
